During the last FATF Plenary meeting which was held 15-17 February 2012, the FATF adopted and published the revised FATF Recommendations. The revisions took two year of consultation with Member Countries, Observers, and Associate Members including MENAFATF. It is believed that the revised recommendations will provide authorities with a stronger framework to act against criminals and address new threats to the international financial system.
MENAFATF participated in the said meeting which was held in Paris, represented by the Secretariat and the following member countries: Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon and Morocco.
