Wedding traditions

The marriage ceremony is one of the most beautiful and ancient rituals. For many centuries, each of the nations of the world has developed its wedding traditions, which are still alive today. After all, a wedding is the beginning of a new family life, fragile shoots of which need to be cherished and cherished, preserving from the evil eye and bad deeds.
Perhaps that is why it makes sense to look at the wedding traditions, even with all their absurdity. No wonder that our ancestors from time immemorial piously observed the once established rules. Although, some wedding traditions can only be surprised, rather than trying to observe them.

For example, in Nigeria, the bride preparing for the solemn day is simply obliged to seriously eat kilos. Poorly coped with the task threatens the offense of the groom's parents, who have the right to bring back her frail daughter-in-law back.
The peculiar wedding traditions of Kenya oblige the newly-bred husband to walk in women's clothes for a whole month after the cherished ceremony. According to popular belief, he thus expresses his solidarity and understanding of his wife’s difficult domestic work.
Many rituals are associated with the feast itself - one of the most significant moments of the marriage ceremony. In China, the bride and groom all the time drinking wine from glasses, connected by a scarlet ribbon. And in order to observe the wedding traditions in the United Arab Emirates, you will have to stock up on a round amount of money. The wedding ceremony here is not the cheapest pleasure. Tables should break from the abundance of dishes. Guests are accommodated in immense tents, where any passer-by from the street can go at any time. But most importantly - luxury and wealth should be "in the square." And all because women have “their own wedding,” and men have “their own.”
To endure a long marathon of wedding traditions in Morocco, you need to have a really good health. In this country of celebration, the whole week lasts, and all this time the bride, as the central figure, must withstand the attention shown to her.
Another thing in Russia - the wedding traditions of our indigenous ancestors commanded to walk for only three days, but at the same time a good feast. A beautiful custom to meet newlyweds with bread and salt is still alive today, and with it the solemn “entry” of the bride over the threshold of a new house in the hands of a newly-made husband.
By the way, white wedding dress is not such a common phenomenon. In many countries of the world they adhere to a completely different color scale, in which a special meaning is concluded. In Italy, wedding traditions dictate the need to have in the bridal outfit elements of red, while the veil itself should be pale orange.
In Ireland - the country of emerald green hills and in a solemn ceremony adhere to their favorite iconic color. Not only the dress and cap of the bride, but also the suit of the groom and even the costumes of the guests must contain rich shades of green. The wedding traditions of India command the bride to dress in a sari of bright red. And the inhabitants of the Navajo tribe recognize only the colorful toilet of the bride, in which there are four contrasting colors: blue, black, orange and white.
They say that if you strongly believe in omens, then sooner or later they begin to come true. Therefore, on the eve of the celebration, do not forget to put a gold coin in one shoe and a silver coin in another, as they do for luck in Sweden. Or just remember the wedding traditions of Ancient Russia and put a castle under the threshold, which should be locked right after the bride and groom enter. Do not forget to throw away the key from the lock so that nothing can separate the hearts in love.
